BiciRuta Nocturna (Saturday Night Biciruta)

On the first Saturday of each month, usually from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Mérida closes its streets to cars and opens them to cyclists, rollerbladers, friends, and families. Ride through the city at night with live music, local food and to experience this beautiful city at night. Bike rentals are available along the route, making it easy to join even if you don’t have your own. It’s a different way to experience Mérida—slower, festive, and full of life. We’re happy to point you to nearby rental options and help you plan your evening.

BiciRuta Dominical (Sunday BiciRuta)

Every Sunday morning from around 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Mérida’s main avenues become car-free, stretching from Plaza Grande to Paseo de Montejo. Locals and visitors head out to bike, walk, and enjoy the city at an easy pace, with markets, music, and plenty of places to stop along the way. Bike rentals are easy to find near the route, so you can simply show up and go. It’s one of the simplest ways to feel part of daily life here. We’re happy to point you to nearby rental options and help you plan your route.
