About the event
Hanal Pixán (pronounced Janal Pishán) and the Festival de las Ánimas are distinct from Día de los Muertos and rooted in Mayan tradition.
This three-day celebration features a variety of events, including traditional Hanal Pixán foods, video mapping shows, Mayan altar displays, and traditional dance performances.
The festival also includes two parades: the Desfile de las Catrinas and the Paseo de las Ánimas.
